Year of the Billy Goat

Ok, so I have this weird tendency of having nicknames for people or call them something other than their real names. So im corky like that, I even called Ted Leonsis (billionaire, entrepreneur, and overall great guy) 'Daddy'. The reason why I call him 'Daddy' is because he has that vibe of a father figure.  Everytime I talk to him, I am not intimidated by his aura.  I actually love the fact that he can talk to us, "regular folks."

This year, Daddy has a new team on the horizon, much different taste and smell if you know what I mean.  Also, a new look, and I am looking at you Adam Morrison! Adam is a man who has a 1970's porn-stache and goatee with the skills to warm a bench. This is by no means an article/blog bashing the young guy, more of an ode to him and the lovely look that he carries.

The Washington Wizards invited Adam Morrison to training camp.  His chances are slim on making the team but you may never know.  Crazier things have happened like the Charlotte Bobcats claiming Kwame Brown as one of their own.  I mean hey, if Kwame is on a team that Michael Jordan owns again, then anything is possible. Adam Morrison is no Kwame Brown, he has two, yes count it, TWO NBA Championship Rings (Thank you, Mr. Bean Bryant). 

Surprisingly, Wizards fans are in love with Adam Morrison.  For some reason, every time he makes a basket or does something positive on the court, he gets the loudest cheers behind the likes of Gilbert Arenas, John Wall, and Yi Jianlan.  I mean gosh, what does a brother have to do to get cheers? Oh wait, I know, how about Mustache like a porn star.  Will his 'stache hold up enough where he can make the team? Who knows?

So comes back to the point I wanetd to make, Adam Morrison looks like a Billy Goat with a mustache. Below are pictures to prove my point.  Now this is nothing negative, as I must say, that I look like Jaffar from the Disney classic, Aladdin.  I will admit it but I like to actually think I look like Cristiano Ronaldo (hey, that's what my ex-girlfriend called me, blame her).

The mustache is a tradition in sports that carries on to every generation and shows people the dirty stuff that can be collected.  Ok so that didn't make any sense, but bottom line is, mustaches are in, fade tops are out.  Maybe not, but I think the Verizon Center needs a ADAM MORRISON night if he makes the team.  Just grow out your musache and goatee in solidarity for Mr. Goat.  I mean, not just NBA players are doing this, look at Jim the Anvil Night Hart.
