Wizards Stay Busy Before Draft

If you haven't heard already, the Wizards have been really busy before June 23rd's draft.
Let's break it down:
* Wizards have denied trying to trade JaVale McGee. If you read Shaun Ahmad's article on this site earlier this week, you would know that he was all for it. Me in other hands, not so much. I think you need to give the young man some more time before sending him off. Too many nightmares of Rasheed Wallace, Chris Weber, Rip Hamilton, yatta yatta yatta.
* Wizards have picked up options for the following players:
- John Wall, NO BRAINER!
- Trevor Booker, of course, why wouldn't you want this guy on your team? He's a hustler!
- Kevin Seraphin, the guy is huge and needs more years under his belt before anybody starts calling him a bust. He just needs to get a better offensive game and learn the NBA game as a whole. We'll see how this project goes.
- Jordan Crawford, another NO BRAINER! The guy can flat out score, he's aggressive and attacks the basket like the basket owed him money. He can def play the two guard position with ease. Does this mean the end of Nick Young? I don't think so but speaking of Nick Young.
The Wizards front office also extended qualifying offers to the following (basically means they offer them a contract and hopefully they accept):
- Nick Young, I honestly don't think he will accept it since he is a restricted free agent and he could make butt loads of more money but we'll see how his agent handles things.
- Hamadi N`Diaye aka H, the guy is tall, athletic, but no offensive game. His defense is good (dude can block shots) but has to get better and he needs more playing time to improve his over all game but not sure if he ever will. He is a project like Kevin Seraphin but look out for him to get more minutes if politics aren't involved next season for H to play.
- Othyus Jeffers, as Ahmad Rashad would always say on NBA Inside Stuff, "my main man." After meeitng Jeffers, when the Wizards first signed him to his first 10-day contract, I realized how humble he is. The guy can flat out play and he was a spark off the bench for the Wiz Kids towards the end of the year. He's not a house hold name, hell, even many Wizards fans probably don't remember him but the guy plays tough, plays defense and can score. Every team needs a Othyus Jeffers on their team. I'm happy for the guy.
- Larry Owens, no not Larry Hoover (Rick Ross reference) but Larry Owens. From what I remember of the guy, he made the most of his opprotunity but not sure what the Wizards have in store for him. He may be here for training camp but then he may be out after that (Grand Opening, Grand Closing).
STAY TUNED FOR MORE WIZARDS COVERAGE AS THE DRAFT GETS CLOSER!
