Cool Shot

Wizards defeated by Warriors 106-102

Quick Recap: The first 3 quarters was probably the most boring-est (is this even a word?) quarters I've been involved with while covering this team.  I had no choice but to think how bad this can be this year.  It's like the players did not want to be involved or be here but that changed really quick in the 4th quarter as Nick Young was hitting shots.

Nick Young, the goofy shooting guard who has been one of the most improved players in the NBA, is the Wizards first option when it comes to the offense.  The guy can flat out score but I can't say the same about his hair.  He looked like Princess Leia of Star Wars with his hair braided.

The braided one finished with a team and game high, 31 points.

Glenn Consor, the the other half of the Wizards radio broadcast, had a great point after the game saying that Nick Young is a great bad shot taker.  Makes lots of sense. Because I'm not the only one in the stadium that goes, "NO NO DON'T TAKE IT." Then all of sudden, it goes in.  That's Nick Young for ya.

Wizards played with out Coach Flip Saunders as he attending to his sick mother in Ohio.  Coach Randy Whittman took over coaching duties.

I would love to have seen more Jordan Crawford.  I think Coach Wittman just isn't comfortable putting him in there with more minutes but he did finish the 4th quarter.

I honestly don't think this team is in need of anymore players, it's all about effort with what you got.  Outsiders view this team to have some talented pieces, it's just a matter of putting a better effort.

JaVale McGee is someone who gives you the 'ohhh's' and 'awwws' but also gives you the 'wtf' when he has the ball in his hand.  I was told by a Wizards source that he just 'blacks out' when he gets into the game.  He practices really well apparently but just doesn't follow through when it comes to game time. Somethings gotta give sooner or later.

NEXT UP: Minnesota Timberwolves at home on Saturday March 5th.
