Draft Lottery: Here is to #3!?

Written by Asad Naqvi on .

Tuesday night is the night where WE find out if the Wizards have a bright future or a crappy one.  The NBA draft lottery is tomorrow as John Wall will be the representative for the Wizards at the draft lottery in New Jersey.

What the Wizards need to get is not the #1 pick (it would be great if they did) but need the #3 pick.  #3 you say? Yes, because at #3, they need to target international star/Kentucky University/Turkey's own, EnesKanter.  The 1st pick and 2nd pick of the draft will probably go to Arizona's Derrick Williams or Duke's Kyrie Irving.

Kanter

Here is a draft profile from NBADraft.net of Kanter.

Kanter is a bruising power forward who isn't scared of getting inside and playing down low.  Something the Wizards desperately need is a big man to help out Blatche/McGee.  He is a great solid choice if taken by Ernie Grunfeld and company.  I first got this idea from ComcastSportsNet Chris Miller.  He sold me on this as soon as he told me to search him.  We lack a big man who can play big and a big man who isn't afraid of contact.  Not to mention a big man who is fundamentally sound.

Enes Kanter was actually suppose to play on the University of Kentucky team but was ineligible due to a NCAA rule that did not allow him to play.  He's been around the states and is tough enough for overseas play.  Wizards need him more then they think they do.

Check out this article by George Panagakos of the Washington Examiner.

Quoting the article, here are the Wizards chances:

Washington’s first round pick probability:
1st overall pick: 11.90%
2nd overall pick: 12.59%
3rd overall pick: 13.29%
4th overall pick: 9.85%
5th overall pick: 35.01%
6th overall pick: 16.09%
7th overall pick: 1.26%

That 13.29% chance is what I am praying for!  Here is to the #3 pick!

Oh wait, what good is this blog if I don't show you visuals! (This is when Kanter played in the 2010 Nike Hoop Summit, which he had a game high 34 points who had one more then Dirk Nowitzki who had held the record previously)
