How many Wizards fans miss Eddie Jordan? This Wizards reporter is not afraid to say that he does. Besides the fact he was the head coach here in the Nation's Capital the last time the Wizards were relevant, he brought a style of offense and uptempo play that this franchise hadn't seen in a while. 100+ point games were routine (on both ends of the court), 40-45 win campaigns, and a sold out arena that would cheer on the Wizards, not the Knicks or Cavs.
Even if you didn't actually attend the Ivy League university, Eddie Jordan introduced the DC area to Princeton in a way we never thought we would ever see. The guard heavy and fast paced offensive style of basketball entertained NBA fans to lots of high flying ally-oops, wide open jump shots, and allowed for guys to come in and make an impact immediately. It may not have been the ultimate solution towards bringing a championship to D.C., but it was pretty entertaining to see this team be competitive year in and year out.
Lyricism inspired directly from Rick Ross & Meek Mill's "Tupac Back"

John Wall back, John Wall back
There's all these fans screaming that John Wall back
Ram hard through the paint, Word to God, we rollin’
Got that brand new knee, and that bitch ain’t swollen
They said I balled too hard, thought the summer was mine
But now I’m back with the squad, see me at game time
They screaming John Wall back, John Wall back
There's all these fans screaming that John Wall back

In front of a ruckus Oklahoma City Kevin Durants crowd, Bradley Beal swiftly ended any chance the Thunder had of pulling out a win by hitting a floating 17 foot jump shot with .03 seconds left on the clock. The dagger put the Wizards up for good, and ultimately ended the game with a 101-99 final score.
It was extremely fitting and appropriate that coach Randy Wittman allowed his young rookie and top pick to take the last shot. Prior to the attempt, Beal was Washington's most consistent player and best shooter for the game.
Could this be a defining moment for Beal's young NBA career?
Wizards fans sure hope so, but he did what he could to back up his own Twitter handle, appropriately named @realdealbeal23.
For all the crap NBA fans and even this Wizards Extreme writer has given this team for the less than sub par/mediocre basketball we've been exposed to over the last 4 years, I think it's time to give a little credit where credit is due.

It’s no secret that the Verizon Center is considered the “home away from home” for almost every team in the league. With its team sitting at 4-27 and in arguably the most transient city in the United States, the Phone Booth serves as a haven for as many opposing fans as those who root for the home team (and sometimes more for the former).
Now usually this is something that bothers me. But I understand it. I never get too frustrated as it is simply part of the sporting culture and it’s just part of what this town offers to out-of-town residents and visitors.
But tonight at Verizon Center, it’s not going to bother me at all. In fact, I’d almost welcome it. The Washington Wizards take on the Oklahoma City Thunder tonight in a matchup of the NBA’s worst versus the NBA’s best.
But more importantly: the return of D.C. native Kevin Durant.
