[ WE Post-Game Video ] - Wizards vs. Hawks: Wittman, Beal, Crawford and Barron

Written by Wizards Extreme Staff on .

“I can’t fault our effort. It really just kind of boiled down, as it has a lot this year, to making a play, making a shot.."
Coach Randy Wittman

“It's kind of a like an old record playing over and over and over. We just gotta close out games."
Bradley Beal

“We got a lot of injuries. A lot of players banged up. It's unfortunate but we'll fight through it."
 Jordan Crawford

“The way we play you would think, giving ourselves a fighting chance in all these games that our record (3-19) should be flipped."
Martell Webster

Wizards Remain Resilient and Reluctant to Go Down Easy

Written by SAAM BOZORGMEHR on .

In a game that was advertised and depicted as a "desperate" Laker team in search of win, the Washington Wizards came out and gave the fans and television audience everything they had. Despite only three wins this season, the Wizards have been competitive in almost every game and even took down the defending champions at home for one of their three victories. This is also the same Wizards team who took down the Lakers here at the Verizon Center last season.

One key ingredient missing in this equation for the Wiz Kids is John Wall, who's mysterious injury seems to baffle all of us, most notably, Randy Wittman.

Can the Wizards Stir Up Another #AngryKobe?

Written by ABDULLAH SHARIF on .

Just about every Lakers player had given their post-game interview and already treaded their way out of the building onto the team bus, yet the visitor’s locker room at the Verizon Center remained a media mosh pit. It almost looked like a hostage scene as everyone loitered around laundry carts and stray shoes, quietly antsy to get a sound bite from the Black Mamba.

Finally, after what seemed like an hour-long wait, the training room door opened with Kobe moping towards the closest locker, ready to “speak” to the media.

“We’ll keep it to one words tonight,” a disgruntled Kobe proclaimed.

Blown over a surrendered 21-point second half lead to the Wizards just one night after losing to the lowly Pistons, Kobe was frustrated, and I was standing at spit range right in front of him, feeling every ounce of tension.
