And you need to let it be known when you meet people from out of town that you are from NOVA and not the rest of VA. There are alot of uneducated people about the state of VA. I usually tell people outside of the mid-east corridor that im from DC just to avoid any confusion with what the hell goes on in the rest of this state.

That's why there needs to a be a new state, the state of Northern Virginia. Just putting that out there.

But yeah, I always tell people I'm from the DC area. They understand it for the most part. I remember once I bought this chick from Chicago that I worked with a hot chocolate. And she told me "Oh you southern boys are so nice." I was like "what the hell are you talking about? Southern boy? Na, not at all."
