Saw this in the Post this morning and thought it deserved its own thread.....

Restricted free agent forward Andray Blatche (http://www.washingtonpost.com/ac2/related/topic/Andray+Blatche?tid=informline), who can negotiate a new contract after July 1, said he will not play for the Wizards' summer league squad even if he does re-sign with the team. Blatche, who is entering his third NBA season, played in the summer league the last two years. The Wizards open summer league play July 10 in Las Vegas (http://www.washingtonpost.com/ac2/related/topic/Las+Vegas?tid=informline). . . .

I love Dray, i really do, but the young man needs to understand he has got to play and will only benefit from doing so. I hope all of this talk about Cleveland and the Nets paying him 4-5mil isnt going to go to his head.

Its a shame if he really ends up not going out to Vegas and building on the chemistry he had with Pech last summer.

you suck

Most players don't play in the Summer League more than 2 years. I wouldn't say it's that big of a problem.

I see what your saying but he needs to be playing man. He would only benefit from it.

Yeah you're right he does need to play, but now he thinks he's Big Tymin' because there are other teams interested. Arrgh this offseason cant be over fast enough...

to me, its not a big deal, i think if he doenst want to play, then so be it, but whatever contract he gets, he better make sure to come thru....bottom line, and it also in that article..it says...

"Today, the Wizards are scheduled to work out former Maryland guard D.J. Strawberry, shooting guard Morris Almond (Rice), forward Mohamed Abukar (San Diego State) and forward Caleb Green (Oral Roberts). Almond, who was the third-leading scorer in the nation last season as a senior (26.4 points per game), is projected as a late first-round pick."

my boy MORRIS ALMOND! i hope the wizards fall in love with this guy!

*moved to Wizards section since its about the wizards/Blatche*
