View Full Version : Are the Wizards making a run at Camby?

They are shopping him and we can offer Haywood, maybe Hayes or Blatche in a sign and trade and our first this year or next for him. Daniels or Songaila could also be in the package if needed. I think it would be worth it and prove to Gilbert that we are trying to win now. If anybody has heard of the Wizards exploring getting Camby let us know because they definitely should as I have only heard of the Hawks trying to acquire Camby.

I def like the idea of Camby. But obviously not in any trade involving Blatche. Plus Camby would have to guarantee he would stay healthy a whole season :D

wait a second....where did you hear this or are you just wishful thinking??? It would be nice to make a run at him but is there any truth to this because I have not heard of anything. And thats a big no go on giving up Blatche it is not gonna happen. Lemme know if you hear aanything or where you originally saw this.

you suck

I think this is wishful thinking. Maybe Ernie can fool the Nuggets into this trade like he did with Lakers.

This thread was started as wishful thinking but I'm glad someone was able to find a link about it. I would easily give up Blatche along with Haywood and someone else for Camby. We desperately need some scoring and defense from the middle and Camby would definately give us that if healthy. He did just win defensive player of the year and I know we could use a ton of help on D. You have to give up something to get something and Blatche is probably at least a couple years from making a significant contribution to a contending team. I trust in Ernie to do the right thing and prove to Gilbert that we are very serious in winning right now. :icon14:

Obviously you'd have to throw in a pick, or two.

Interesting trade, even though AD is probably our most effective bench player.

Too Much to give up for only 3-4 years

Its not the NFL draft...draft picks are not as valuable when you are continually a 1-2-3 round playoff team.

We agree to disagree.

I don't think that we have enough to get a Camby deal done. That being said, I think that he would do well back in the East, but he is getting older and has significant problems staying healthy for a whole season.

I'd be estatic if we could get Camby!
