16. Wizards Thaddeus Young 6-8, 215 SF Georgia Tech Fr.
Rough few months for Wizards fans. First they lose Caron Butler and Gilbert Arenas to season-ending injuries, then they're swept out of the playoffs, and now Agent Zero says he'll test the free agent waters next summer. What's Washington need? Some athleticism. The injury bug bit them last year, and Jarvis Hayes, Donnell Taylor, and Roger Mason, Jr. were not the answer. In his only year at Georgia Tech, Thaddeus Young averaged over 14 points and roughly 5 rebounds per game. A physical specimen, he can run the floor and bang inside. One of the guys you'll hear has "tremendous upside", Young could go anywhere from 10 to 20 in this draft. Washington can go a variety of directions here. Why not go with Thaddeus?
Interesting pick...
