I guess Kobe would approve of KG coming to the Lakers.
The Los Angeles Times cited league sources on Monday saying that the Lakers and Minnesota Timberwolves are in discussions that could bring Kevin Garnett to Los Angeles.

Trade discussions have involved the Lakers, Wolves, Pacers and possibly a fourth team. The report says that the Lakers would get Garnett, while the Pacers would land Los Angeles forward Lamar Odom and center Andrew Bynum. The Wolves would likely acquire a lottery pick and young players. Another team would also have to be involved to make the deal work financially.

Sources told ESPN and ESPN.com that the fourth team at this point is the Celtics, who would get Jermaine O'Neal from the Pacers.

So let me get this right...LA gives up Lamar and Bynum and gets KG..Celtics get Jermaine and the Wolves get a big 14" ...... with absolutely no lube and the 5th pick in the draft?

They should have traded him when they could have gotten value for KG....oh well at least Kevin McHale ain't running my team!

The Lakers still aren't winning a title with just Kobe and KG. The rest of the team is trash.

And I agree. The Wolves are getting played hard in that deal. I guess they're just desperate now.

I really dont know what it is, i used to love the Lakers back when Magic and Kareem, Michael Cooper and Showtime was happening.....

then Kobe got there and i don't know what it is, i respect the hell out of his game, him and LeBron for that fact but I CANT STAND EITHER OF THEM...which makes me hate their teams.

But i gotta agree, they may get KG, but who the hell else is gonna step up for them?

KG and Kobe would be a hell of a 1-2 for the Lakers but I gotta agree... the rest of the team absolutely blows.

Jermaine O'Neal is the worst solution to the Celtics problems. That must be why Danny Ainge wants him!

Well, the Celtics are out of the rumored deal. The talks are now just between the Lakers and T-Wolves.

Later on Monday, the Times reported that the deal in that form had fallen apart because the Celtics did not like their end of the deal. According to the newspaper, the Lakers and Timberwolves continued discussions, trying to broker a deal just between the two teams.

i would gladly take Jermaine over here as long as we only have to give up Brenda and some draft picks.

Latest has KG landing in Phoenix. Imagine Nash, Stoudamire, and KG together? That's sick right there.

Three teams are involved in these discussions, with the Suns getting Garnett, the Celtics picking up Phoenix forward Shawn Marion and the Wolves acquiring the fifth pick in Thursday's draft and players from Boston.

yeah...no more 4 team deal..now a 3 team deal

Boston gets Marrion(if he accepts an extension, if not, deal is dead, becasue they want Marrion for a long term deal, not just one year and he leaves!)

Minny gets #5 pick of boston and some players to be named

Suns get KG ofcourse....

KG to LA didnt really do anything for me in regards to them being any closer to a championship, but KG to the Suns would straight up be nasty. NAsh, Amare and KG would be crazy. If we've got a Big 3 then thats the AMAZING THREE.
