Assuming the lockout will eventually be lifted and NBA play will resume this October, Comcast SportsNet has released its TV schedule for the potential upcoming Wizards season. CSN is slated to cover all 82 regular season games as well as 3 preseason games.
This should be of some bright news for Wizards fans. It assures that we will hear local play-by-play legend Steve Buckhantz yell “dagger!” and a few other of his famous choice phrases at least 82 times this year, as he returns alongside Phil Chenier for their 15th season as Wizards commentators.
In other Wizards headlines,forward/center Kevin Seraphin who skated for Spain recently to continue playing basketball has signed with Caja Laboral Baskonia. The 17th overall pick in the 2010 draft averaged 2.6 points and 2.8 rebounds in 58 games for the Wizards last season.

Since the Goodman League wrapped up a few weeks ago, things have been pretty quiet here at Wizards Extreme headquarters (location: Centreville, Virginia, left side of my twin bed, upright with two pillows against the wall). The Summer League games had been our primary source of content during the NBA lockout and since the epic star studded finale between the Goodman and Drew Leagues the headlines have been fairly minimal.
That's an easy answer if you think about it and you just look at the stats.
It's Matee Ajavon. How do you not like this girls game? I know people like to be sexist and say "girls can't ball" but man, can she ball.
Watching her this season, it was like watching John Wall if he had long hair. Ok, maybe not to that extent but she boosted her scoring average from 5.9 ppg from a year ago to 14.7 ppg.
Just as the Washington Mystics bring this dismal season to a close in the next week or so, BAM! Some positive news finally came out of the locker room.
Star forward Monique Currie was cleared by team doctors yesterday to return to the Mystics lineup tonight against the Atlanta Dream after missing the entire season with an ACL tear.

Product placement is a good thing, especially when you have an endorser with local ties and some starpower behind them to sell your product. Dan Snyder, Ted Leonsis x2, and the Lerner family should all be thrilled that our very own, DC bred rapper, Olubowale Victor Akintimehin, a.k.a Wale, is a hometown sports fan.
Wale has shown his love for all the major sports teams in DC through his attire and musical lyrics.
What's got my attention now though, is that Wale, in one of his latest songs titled Bait, expands his local love to include Miles Rawls, Commisioner of the Goodman League and the league itself.
Wale may not be your flavor of rap and his lyrics are sometimes a bit on the "did he really just say that" side of things but as a Wizards fan, any rapper who can incorporate Flip Saunders into a mainstream song gets kudos from me.
Enjoy Bait..
Thanks to RapGenius.com for the lyrics below. (highlighted the Goodman/Flip Saunders line)

This past Saturday night was a fun time, I can't lie. It was just as I had expected and more actually. The people that were very lucky to get in for one (there was a huge line outside that couldn't get in and bought tickets) to watch some of the top talent of the NBA and the streets of LA/DC.
Players like my boy, Baby Shaq, had some great exposure. Baby Shaq actually started along the likes of John Wall, DeMarcus Cousin, and Kevin Durant. From being the highest paid And 1 player ever to playing along the likes of the NBA greats. It was truly a blessing to see that.
Nick Young aka Swaggy P or Swaggy and Javale McGee aka Pierre show off their pilot.
Hilarious when the lady asked Nick, "Are we ready for a championship out of the Wizards this year?"
Swaggy P responds with, "Most definitely, if we play half a season, then we got a chance." Which then erupted in laughter. As much as he was laughing, sadly it's somewhat true.
Check out these two hilarious guys, video courtesy of FordProductionFilms by way of @CarbonPrimo.
In their first game following a dominating win over the New York Liberty last week, the Mystics went right back to square one.
Yup. We now return you to our regular season program.
In this latest episode, a 6-point lead with less than a minute to go was squandered when Sancho Lyttle sunk a 13-foot jump shot with 0.5 seconds remaining to lift her Atlanta Dream over the Mystics 72-70.
