This team cannot continue to lose miserably and hope to keep Wall in town for very long. If we're going to suck this year, we need to do it right to make sure it's our last year to be bottom feeders.

McGee is in a contract year. Considering what other centers are demanding, we can be sure he'll demand at least 10 million a year. For as many years as he's been in the league, we can't take that risk to hope he suddenly "gets it". We need a "sure thing" at center - Dwight Howard. If we're going to entice him, we need to show him how serious we are. This means making some trades to bring in legit talent.

My recommendation is to trade McGee and Baltche to a team in need of big men. Now what team in need of big men would be dumb enough to trade for these guys? Hmm.......I know - the Bobcats!!! Charlotte is weak in the paint and they are desparate for talented big men. I suggest we send Baltche, McGee and some 2nd rounders for Diop and their 1st round unprotected pick. Considering that both the Wizards and Bobcats will most definitely suck this year, it's almost a given that both picks will be Top 10.

With two Top 10 picks, we will have what we need to make our move next year. Considering that we will have the youngest team in the league next year (Lewis, Mason will be gone), we should make next year's draft our last for awhile. This means trading the next several year's 1st round picks plus one of our top 10 picks to get the #1 pick. With the #1 pick, we take Davis. With the other top 10 pick we take the BPA - Barnes, Lamb, or MKG.

Wall + Davis + (Barnes, Lamb, or MKG) + Vesely/Singleton/Crawford/Seraphin/Booker + GOBS of cap space (Lewis & Diop gone) would make us a tempting destination for Howard. Not only would we be able to sign Howard, we would have enough cap to sign another quality FA as well. With this roster, we'd be in the championship hunt for years!

After seeing sites such as Bulletsforever make up player evaluations, I was inspired to do my own lol..

John Wall: John's obviously our future guy to build around. He attacks the basket like a bullet (no pun intended) and doesn't stop until he finishes. His passing ability is off the charts. Being able to average close to 9 assists with mediocre players on the roster is a statement. If he continues working on his jumpshot and consistency to be surprised to see him in MVP contention in a few years.

Nick Young: Nick is by far our most improved player. Getting his confidence up was a huge part of it. Making clutch and difficult shots helped him establish his identity. Let's just see where he ends up this off season.

Javale McGee: Javale has shown some strides. He has the potential to become one of the best centers in the league. His length and ability to block shots separates him from the average center. After all, he is the TRUE Slam Dunk champ.

Andray Blatche: Too much to write on this guy. It seems like every year he decides to play ball when the season is over. He also has the potential to become one of the best power forwards in the league. If he decides to stick to the paint, and work hard in the offseason he is a keeper.

Jordan Crawford: In my opinion Jordan was the most underrated rookie this season. He definitely took advantage of his green light in Washington. Dropping nearly 40 points on the second best shooting guard in the NBA (Wade), then backing that performance up with a triple double has sadly gone unnoticed. He just may have made Nick Young expendable.

Rashard Lewis: 'Shard has shown sparks of leadership while his few times on our court. He can be a threat on offensive by stretching the floor. Unfortunately his ridiculous contract and injuries have overshadowed his presence.

Josh Howard: The only game this season I can truly remember from Josh is against Cleveland. He showed that he can help our team succeed. Too bad we always see him in a suit, and not in a Wizard jersey. He's definitely a person we can get rid of.

Mo Evans: Mo made a tremendous impact in such little time to our team. He's definitely the type of character guy our team needs. Humble, hungry, and helpful. The three H's we need to look for in our vets.

Trevor Booker: Book has shown some tremendous upside. There were times where we wanted him to start over Dray. He blasted Kevin Love, and had a few more memorable games. If he stays injury free, he's definitely a guy we should consider keeping.

Kevin Seraphin: This kid has something we always needed, a big body. He has shown us a consistent mini-hook, and even the ability to knock down a few open mid range jumpshots. Plus, who can forget the countless amounts of times he's knocked opposing players down.

Yi Jianlian: The best thing about his season, is that it was his last. Thank GOD we didn't offer him a qualifying offer. Hopefully I never see this guy in a Wizard uniform again. He basically robbed players of playing time, just to give up offensive boards and uncontested jumpers.

Kirk Hinrich (traded): Some of you guys hate on Kirk, but I liked him. He did have his flaws, but he was the only veteran pointguard who could have helped John develop. His jumper was nice, and his passing ability for a true shooting guard was great. I'd still take Crawf over him though.

Hilton Armstrong (traded): Another long player who probably did nothing for our team but provide another body for practice. Had some decent minutes while Javale was in foul trouble, but nothing to cheer over. Basically a bench warming vet.

Othyus Jeffers: Othyus was sent from heaven. This guy optimizes everything our team needed. His rebounding skills for a guy his size are amazing. He hustles like its his last game, and even brought back the one handed pump fake. He is definitely a keeper.

Larry Owens: Larry had a short stint with D.C but I liked what I saw. Good hustler, but again, nothing to cheer over. I don't see how he makes our roster especially with Shard,Howard, and now new rookie Singleton on our roster at the small forward spot.

Well, John Wall was in a very similar circumstance when playing against the Timberwolves.

Wall already had a double double in points and rebounds, and was only two assists away from getting a triple double. The Wizards had the lead and there was enough time on the clock for Wall to work his magic. Wall gets the rebound, rushes down the court, sees the open man and............pulls up to kill the clock.

Yes ladies and gentlemen, John Wall cares more about winning the game than he does about personal stats. And THAT is the Big Difference between Baltche's and Wall's near triple double.

How 'yall doin guys? My first blog, here it comes lol.

Well so far the season hasn't been going that well. The Washington Wizards have shown sparks of good play, but overall they have dissapointed. Nick Young has overall been our best player. He's playing like the old Gilbert lol. John Wall is going to be a great player. His jumper needs work, but if you watch all our games he is strongly progressing. His passing skills are out of this world. No disrespect to the players on our team, but averaging 9 or more assists with our talent level is saying something. Javale McGee needs some work. His rebounding and blocks have been his highlight this year. He often trys to put on a show and creates a turnover. Now onto Blatche.. Too many negative comments about him. Coming into this season many of us had high expectations about Blatche including myself. He not only dissapointed but is showing completely horrible play night in and night out. Shard and the new guys like Booker and Seraphin are good contributers to this team. Although I don't see Kirk and Lewis sticking out for long, there the only leaders this team has. With all this said, I'm expecting these guys to have breakout seasons in a couple years. We are still one of the youngest teams in the NBA, and alot of young prospects to deal with. Thanks for reading guys.

Take a look guys, Caron has more steals, blocked shots and more hustle on defense than AJ, sure its not that impressive but some defense is better than the 0 we get from AJ.
Damn this hurts to knock my man AJ down, I really love the dude, solid player but not what we need right now.

Here is our offense every single game (not in any particular order)...

-Gil takes the ball up. Dribbles in place. Passes it to Caron/AJ. They dribble in place. Shot clock winds down, and we jack up something ugly.

- Gil takes the ball up. Dribbles to the corner and draws the double team leaving AJ open. We either turn the ball over or AJ jacks up something ugly.

Gil/Earl brings the ball up. Dribbles in place. Passes to Haywood in the post. If he's under the rim he stiffly dunks it. Or he tries to take a page from Blatche and jacks up something ugly.

-Earl Boykins brings the ball up. Passes it to Blatche who does some fancy dribbling in place and either tries the famous Spin Move of Failure or jacks up something ugly.

- Earl Boykins brings the ball up. Dribbles around in circles. Either makes the shot or not.

With the exception of the occasional fire that is Gilbert Arenas, this team is offensivly retarded.

Feel free to add any....

To be honest, I'm getting sick and tired of all the "Zombie Fans" going around accusing anyone that has a critical remark as a "Hater".

Somehow, it has become an established thought in many minds that if you criticize your team in any way, shape or form, that you are no longer a fan and you just love to hate people. I don't know how all of this political correctness got into sports, but it's 100% pure:

BULL SH!T!!!

A little dose of reality for all of you zombies: our team is playing like crap. We are now 7-15 (if you can't do the math, that's .318). I've seen better pick-up games than what I'm watching on tv lately. All of this "We need to support our players or it might hurt them mentally in the game" is a bunch of nonsense. These aren't 8 year olds playing in a pee wee league. They are GROWN MEN playing PROFESSIONAL SPORTS! They are getting paid millions upon millions and they play like they're with friends shooting hoops in their driveway. Part of the reason our team is playing so bad just might be because zombies like you are content sitting in your seats watching loss after loss and excusing our players from any responsibility for it.

If any of you think that you can keep me from criticizing my team (that is just as much mine as it is yours), you're most welcome to kneel down and kiss my royal Irish ass!
:fu:

Abe Pollin, the owner of our beloved Washington Wizards passed away from fighting a rare cancer on Tuesday, ironically the week of thanksgiving. There is no doubt that Mr. Pollin gave a lot back to this community and has done things that an angel has done. He has made sure that his employees and team were always taken care of.

As I watched the Comcast broadcast of the game, I heard the Vice Chairman of the Washington Wizards, Matt Williams, and talk about how Mr. Pollin set up a meeting earlier this morning before his death, to make sure to let the employees to leave early so they would not hit traffic for Thanksgiving. With his influence, Chinatown isn’t the same; it’s better with the help of Mr. Pollin’s genius ideas. He built and revitalized this whole area with Hotels, Restaurants and meeting places.

As we watch the local news and even national media talk about the passing, the more they talk about his only championship in 1978 with Washington Bullets, the more it makes me think that the Wizards will be even more motivated as a team to win it now than ever have, sadly enough. Eight months ago, in front of the media, Abe Pollin himself said that he will work hard on getting another championship and will not QUIT until that happens.

With that said, I hope the Washington Wizards take the legacy of Abe Pollin and run with it. I hope Brandon Haywood grabs more rebounds then ever, I hope Gilbert Arenas can lead this team with his emotions and not only with his scoring;

I hope the youngsters (Blatche/Young/McGee/McGuire) can live up to their abilities and talent that they have and the coaching staff coach like their lives dependent on it and FINALLY take us to the NBA CHAMPIONSHIP. One can only hope, but if we learned anything from Mr. Pollin’s legacy, with a dream and determination, anything is possible. Your probably saying, “CHAMPIONSHIP? YEAH RIGHT!” Well the start of the season is what everybody hoped for, but you know what!? Our friend Steve Buckhantz (the tv play by play announcer with the great hair) said it best, and that this team will not be great from the start, it will take time. We all know if you have great chemistry, we can have success. As I stop rambling on, I just want to say Rest in Peace to a great owner of the Washington Bullets/Wizards and hopefully Mr. Pollin will look down upon us and see Gilbert Arenas lead us to that championship that the Washington Area is craving.
