Default Rasheed Wallace: HOFer? (POLL)

I was just checking out our Bullets draft history and I realized, for like the 10-thousandth time, that we took Rasheed Wallace one pick ahead of Kevin Garnett. Now that wouldn't be that bad if we had kept Wallace but we didn't. So then I started thinking, is Rasheed a HOFer? KG most certainly is. First ballot. No doubt. But what about Rasheed? I say no but he has been a force in the NBA for well over a decade. Perhaps even a face of the league. Not quite on Kobe, Lebron, KG levels but still a face. So maybe some think he is?

And remember, the NBA HOF isn't like the MLB HOF where you have to be one of the best 200 players in the leagues history. It's a lot easier to get in.

im going yes. the championship ring helps his cause, and even though they(pistons) couldn't repeat on a championship, they was in the ecf for like 6 seasons straight(right?). so has the credentials(ring, all star appearances i guess, playoff apperances), and overall game to help back it all up.

i don't mean to go , but i've been meaning to make a similar hof thread for ray allen.

I'm going to go with maybe, but leaning more towards no.

He was a key part in Portland's success years ago. And yeah like billtimore said, he's got a ring, multiple playoff appearances, and has put up pretty solid numbers during the playoffs.

But if you look at his career numbers (yes, I know numbers aren't everything.), he doesn't average a double double. (14.4 PPG, 6.8 RPG) And he's only had 3 seasons where he averaged more than 19 ppg. ( 00-01- 19.2 ppg, 01-02- 19.3 ppg, and 03-04- 20 ppg)

I could be wrong but that's just my 2 cents

btw 310 career Techs and 25 ejections. ooooh that Sheed. What a character.

I said maybe... he has the numbers to be borderline, but I think just the way he acts may rub some of the voters the wrong way enough to keep him out of the hall.

I'm going with Hell to the No. Sheed is an above average PF/C, but there's no way he belongs in the HOF. I watched him quit on his team in the ECF a few years back. I've heard he is a good guy in person, but his persona has been that of a trouble making whiner in the past.

If he would have spent more time in the paint during his career (which he is apparently allergic to) He would have HOF numbers. As it stands.... NO.
