Nothing has changed over the years and looks to be the same cycle of an unqualified coach, roster full of role players and Dleaguers, and overhyped overpaid "all stars"(only in wizards fans minds) who will never be healthy. While other teams have reached rock bottom and turned their teams around to playoff competitors in a matter of a few seasons, the Wizards continue the revolving door of Dleaguers year in and year out scrambling to get 20 wins a season. There is no reason to get excited over your "star" point guard who cant shoot playing with your #3 draft pick undersized SG who cant dribble. Or maybe we are supposed to believe guys like AJ Price, Pargo, Jordan Crawford, Trevor Booker and Jan Vessely are starters on this team while they wouldnt even get playing time on most other teams in the league.
I drink the kool aid because I am a fan of the team whether they are winning or losing?

Get the **** out of here with that.

You are just being a typical little whiny fan who says they are quitting the team when things don't go their way. Who posts/says that?

Im done. Sad its only 1 half into the first game of the season but im done.
Every single one of us wants the team to do better, the players to get better, and the organization to put more talent on the floor. But you are either a fan or you are not. You don't get a free pass to leave when they are doing bad and then come back when everything is sunny.

So yeah....if you are "done" with the team....than yes, you are not a real fan.

It has nothing to do with winning or losing. It's about seeing the same stuff over and over and over the past few years with no improvement and no change. Change meaning mostly Grunfeld. Attitudes like yours (It's okay to get 20 wins a year, at least they are trying!) are the reason why Grunfeld still has a job and this organization has been satisfied with losing.

I wish cities could vote owners out of office.

Don't even try to deny it...

Lol, wtf are you talking about?

When did I say anything about it being acceptable to have 20 wins? When did I say I don't want to see improvement? When did I say the front office is doing an acceptable job?

The whole point of this argument is that -- according to your OP -- you are done with the team after one game.

My response to that: You are not a real fan.

If you would like to change that statement you made and admit you are not actually done with the team, was just frustrated, and are going to continue to be a fan of the team....than that is a whole other point.

If that is the case, start another thread complaining about management, direction of the team, team culture, and personnel. But this "Over before it started" "I am done with the team" crap is a completely different argument than what you are turning this thread to.

Man up and stand by your statement, or stop changing the subject.

A "real fan"? That is up to your own interpretation. I am a real fan, that is why i won't waste my time watching crap and because a "real fan" is emotional about their team. I am a fan of the Wizards, but i am also a fan of the game of basketball. I want to see good basketball. Good basketball doesn't necessarily mean winning. I want to see professional level basketball. Otherwise, i'd go down to my local community center and watch a bunch of fat overweight scrubs play. I want to see an organization try to improve and have a stretegic plan, not just make random moves, consistently draft a scrub foreigner, trade for injury prone overpaid vets with bad contracts, sign and start multiple d leaguers, and remain stagnant or backtrack year in and year out. Did you understand that i said Year in and Year Out? Since you're such a "real fan", i'm guessing you have season tickets and go to every single home game, year in and year out?

I've always stood by my statements. And i'm standing by the one last night. It is not the fact that you lose to a bottom feeder like Cleavland. It's the way the team played, the enthusiasm they showed (or lack thereof), poor coaching and effort. You wait 6 months to see the exact same crap the Wizards have been doing last season with no improvement, and the season before, and the season before? Dude, wake up. The Wizards have been flooring the same lineup for years (just different players, a revolving door). When does management get the hint to fire the "ringmaster"? When "real fans" like me stand up, boycott the games, stop supporting this freak show and force their hand.

As long as their are praise boys and yes men like yourself around supporting this team, nothing will change. I'm sure even Phil Chenier and Steve Buchantz would really love to say what they are thinking on the air, but of course, their check is too good for them to do that.

lol at you guys arguing about real fan.

Any fan that is a wizards fan is a damn real fan. This team always sucked, and are just at the point of pathetic right now. Its not like some of our fans jumped onto the ship when wizards were winning championships. This team has not produced well enough to keep their fans happy. Iam honestly tried of this front office they did everything wrong. Its not about being a fan its about being pissed off at the front office that took a playoff team and rebuilt it to a damn joke. This isnt a rebuild this is just pathetic. Their isnt one player i want on this team to stay, only exception is wall and il gladly trade him for someone like lawson or couple first rounders.

Okay, well enjoy not watching the team and rooting for the Wizards since you are a real fan.

See you back when they start to win games.

Thats the problem tho....they never win games. We have a better roster from last year which was pathetic but now we are just slightly better Ariza not that good. Okefor is a nice addition . Bradley Beal will be overrated .

I'm drinking the kool aid because being a cynic is easy. I'm a life long fan from the cap centre and I like to think that the wizards will win a championship in my lifetime. That's what fans do we watch, wish, and hope. And we they finally win the years of losing won't matter. And as a rebuild goes wall Booker and seraphin are the longest tenured wizards. I don't know what people expect the team to do, go get lebron or maybe Chris Paul. This is why the nba locked the players out cuz all fans want is for their team to go get a superstar or three and then we'll finally be good.
