I disagree. The more he plays, the better he's getting. Just like his one and only season in college, Beal started out slow, but as the season wore on, his play improved and he became more comfortable on the court and he was the player they thought he would be.

I think we'll see the same thing his rookie year. That's what you want to see, is improvement as the season continues.

He still does things that make me shake my head but I expected that.

I'm not comparing him to James Harden, but if you look at Harden's rookie year, you might have said the same thing about him.

I'll wait out the season and see how he finishes before I start judging him but you can see he has the tools and the mindset to be the player we (I) hoped he would be.

Too bad we can't see that in last years rookie, Vesely.

18 honestly. He hasnt been good at all iMO and when i said this quote he basically finally got 20 points after the first two Q's he looked bad.

poor draft year and Beal been very down IMO , 15 games is also good enough. Intill we have a good GM and stop wasting money on washed up huge contracts we will always be sucky.

If you expected him to be averaging 18 per game after 19 games then you have totally unrealistic expectations.

Again, not to compare him with James Harden as a player, but both were the #3 pick in the draft and both are SG.

After 19 games his rookie year, James Harden was averaging 8.8 points a game. That was bolstered by two back to back games where he scored 24 and 25 points. Outside of that, his highest scoring game was 10 points. He finished the year averaging 9.9 PG and 3.2 Rebounds.

After 19 games, Bradley Beal is averaging 12.3 PG and 3.6 rebounds.

Also, remember that James Harden played on a 50 win team with All-Stars in Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook.

Like I've been saying, wait until the end of the year to look back and evaluate Beal's rookie season.

In addition to what Professor Nighthawk is saying, if you look at one of Beal's main NBA comparisons, Ray Allen, you will see the stats are also fairly interesting after 19 games.

    Beal
    12.4 ppg
    2.4 apg
    3.8 rpg
    .362 FG%
    .325 3P%

    Allen

    12.8 ppg
    2.1 apg
    4.1 rpg
    .443 FG%
    .333 3P%

The main thing to note is that Ray had a much higher field goal percentage however he was the 3rd scoring option on the team. Beal is tied for 1st with Crawford, meaning having to jack up more shots.

    pic of you dude??

Bradley Beal, SG, Washington Wizards (57% owned in Yahoo! leagues)
Beal has had a relatively rough start, as most rookies do, but he seems to be figuring this NBA thing out lately. In 13 November games, Beal averaged 28 minutes, 11.2 points, 34.1 FG% (10.6 FGA), 85.0 FT% (3.1 FTA), 1.4 three pointers, 1.6 assists, 3.3 rebounds and 0.8 steals. In five December games thus far, he’s averaging 32 minutes, 16.0 points, 41.8 FG% (13.4 FGA), 85.0 FT% (4.0 FTA), 1.4 three pointers, 4.4 assists, 4.4 rebounds and 1.4 steals. Yes, now is the time to grab him in every fantasy basketball format while you can if you need some very good production over all categories

This kid is a spot up shooter who is playing without a pure PG. I think for the dire situation he was thrown into he has perform admirably. Am I little disappointed at the lack of production, yeah but he's done as well as he can

Lol Earl Barron randomly getting a ton of PT tonight. More minutes than Seraphin, that's great coaching right there.
